In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to set up and manage different types of threaded discussions or forums in the Moodle environment, including “Enhanced Discussions.” Tips, techniques, and strategies for using forums to enrich courses will also be provided. Participants will also learn where and how to get help: GROK, help desk, and the Faculty Technology Center.

Using Moodle 2 for Assignments: File Submissions or Online Text

Participants will learn to use assignment activities to collect work from students, review it, and provide feedback, including grades, in this hands-on workshop. The student work can be in the form of digital file submissions (such as word-processed documents) or typed online text (such as online journal entries. In addition, participants will learn to use an optional rubric feature to standardize grading of an assignment.
