Course Description

iThenticate is the leading provider of professional plagiarism detection and prevention technology used worldwide by scholarly publishers and research institutions to ensure the originality of written work before publication. Graduate students and faculty can use this tool to independently check drafts of dissertations, scholarly papers, grant proposals, etc. to safeguard one’s reputation and to confidently ensure the originality one’s written work before publication. This tool is available for use by faculty and graduate students at LSU (free campus-wide license). Representatives from iThenticate® will facilitate this session. Topics that will be covered include:
 

  • Workflow and navigation
  • Report views
  • Data and statistical output (understanding and interpreting)
  • Folder creation and management
  • Iterations of work and content tracking
  • Q&A and discussion

Facilitators will be available 30 minutes after the event (2:30-3:00pm) to answer any specific questions and provide individualized assistance.
