Course Description

General topics covered in this course include:

  • Navigating the Gradebook 
    • Admin > “Grades” = “Gradebook” everywhere else 
    • Dropdown menu - quicker than main course page   
  • Entering / overriding grades 
    • Turning edit on/off in gradebook 
    • Manual grade items - grade must be entered within gradebook 
    • Moodle activities - grade should be entered from within the activity 
      • Overriding grades for Moodle activities 
  • Hiding / showing grades 
    • Gradebook / Gradebook setup  
    • Quiz / Activity grades - show/hide the activity (also hides grade) 
    • Quiz – Review Options 
  • Curving grades 
    • Offset 
    • Multiplicator 
  • Other Settings 
    • Letter Grades 
    • Course Grade Settings – Grade Display Type 
    • Expand / Collapse categories in gradebook 
  • Import / export grades - CSV format can be used for both 

This course will be facilitated via Zoom (join URL below).  It will take approximately 45 minutes and covers the concepts and tools needed to manage your Moodle gradebook throughout the course of the semester.
