The Parallel Tools Platform (PTP) is set of plugins for the Eclipse IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for creating high performance parallel applications. This tutorial will introduce some of the basic features of both Eclipse and the PTP framework. This tutorial is a Hands-on introduction to the Eclipse PTP

Prerequisites:

1. Basic programming ability in C, C++, or Fortran
2. A laptop with an SSH Client
3. A LONI account
4. Download and Install the latest Eclipse software (version 3.7.1) from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads prior to the tutorial.
