As the Digital & Continuing Education team continues to work towards modernizing the online experience for faculty and students, templates were created for online courses using the new Snap theme in the Moodle environment. Using the template helps provide an accessible foundation for your course, while including content and assessment components that are based on best online pedagogical practices. The template is available for both LSU Online courses (7 modules) and Academic Moodle (15 modules). For a look at the template, check out this video.
This hands-on workshop will provide interested faculty with a closer look at the Moodle template and instructions on editing the template in Moodle.
*Note: Prior to attending the workshop, please be sure to request the template for the course(s) you plan to be developing by completing this online form. A Master Course will be created for you with the template, and you will be notified by email once your course is ready. Please bring your syllabus or any course documents with you to this workshop if you have any.
Note: This is not a Moodle "how-to" workshop. For a basic understanding of the structure and functionality of Moodle, register for the 'Moodle 3: Basic and Beyond' workshop that is offered by the Faculty Technology Center (FTC). For assistance with Moodle, contact the FTC (ftc@lsu.edu; 578-3375, option 2).
Registration will close approximately two days prior to the workshop or when capacity is reached.
