Course Description

This workshop will begin with an in-depth look at the Moodle template. Using the template helps provide an accessible foundation for your course, while including components that are based on best online pedagogical practices. Throughout the workshop, participants will work on editing their template course and adding content. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Modify modules within the template (e.g., edit module titles, hide content) and add elements (e.g., images, hyperlinks, videos)
  2. Select appropriate Moodle resources best suited for the creation of learning objects for your course
  3. Select appropriate Moodle activities (e.g., assignment, quiz, forum) best suited for the creation of learning activities and assessments 

Note: Two to three business days prior to attending the workshop, be sure to request the template for the course(s) you plan to be developing by completing the Moodle Template Request form. A Master Course will be created for you with the template, and you will be notified by email once your course is ready. Please have your course syllabus and any course documents ready to use during this workshop.
