This workshop will provide you with practical strategies on how to condense your course content for a shorter term while still balancing effectiveness and rigor. Presenters will discuss considerations to modify and reconfigure existing course content while ensuring that instructional material and activities align with the course outcomes.
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Prioritize course content to make optimal use of course duration to meet credit hour requirements for student engagement time
- Make thoughtful and intentional adjustments to course content (instructional material and activities) to ensure alignment with course outcomes
- Discuss strategies to facilitate short-term courses to set yourself and your students up for success
