• Organizing the gradebook 
  • Admin menu > Grades vs. Gradebook Setup 
  • How to control what items appear in the Gradebook 
    • Moodle graded activity 
    • Manually creating gradebook items / categories 
      • Create Moodle graded activities first (to avoid duplicates) 
      • Create categories (Assignments, Quizzes) 
        • Keep Highest / drop lowest 
        • Exclude empty grades 
  • Moving items / categories (move icon vs. checkboxes) 
  • Setting aggregation methods - gradebook vs. Category 
    • Custom Weights - change item weight = yes, change cat max grade = yes 
    • Weight by Points - change item weight = no, change cat max grade = yes 
    • Natural - change item weight = yes, change cat max grade = no 
• Extra Credit - category vs. Grade item
