In compliance with the new ruling, beginning January 1, 2025, any LSU employee with an annual salary under $58,656, or who occupies a position with a salary range minimum less than $58,656, will be paid hourly on a biweekly basis and will be eligible for overtime. This FLSA change does not apply to teaching (including teaching faculty), coaching or medical/veterinary interns and residents.
This FLSA Town Hall will take a deep dive into the rule and how it will impact employees moving from salary exempt to hourly non-exempt effective January 1, 2025, including a tutorial on time entry procedures in Workday, and an opportunity for those employees and managers impacted by the change to ask questions.
