Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework designed to empower students from varied backgrounds to actively participate in their courses and apply their learning to the greatest extent possible. Application of the UDL principles involves thoughtful consideration and selection of course materials, teaching methods, and assessment strategies. Join us in this interactive workshop where we share strategies for using the principles of UDL in your course.

This workshop is designed to introduce the concept of generative AI, facilitate discussions about how it can be used effectively by faculty and students, help faculty navigate considerations and limitations regarding AI implementation, and recommend ways to design, revise, and adapt courses with AI. This workshop welcomes attendees regardless of pre-existing knowledge or experience using generative AI.

Developed and facilitated by LSU Online & Continuing Education, this course is designed for faculty who are new to teaching online or are interested in learning more about facilitating an online course. Participants will explore best practices in making connections with students, creating a community of learning, and delivering an engaging experience for their students. Many of the strategies covered in this course are also applicable to blended courses.

The Office of Human Resource Management will be hosting the Geaux Gold Program. This event was designed to help new hires discover the golden gems of LSU: learn about the history, culture and traditions of our university, the perks of being an LSU employee, ways to get involved on campus, and the ins-and-outs of what it means to work at our university.

Hosted by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and designed for assessment leads, the Assessment PLAN informational meeting will include general information regarding the assessment plan and participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions and receive feedback on current/future assessment plans. Audience: Degree Program Assessment Leads. All sessions will be held via Zoom. The zoom link will be sent at least 48 hours prior to the session date.

Join us in this interactive workshop where participants will gain practical insights into iterative revision processes and decision-making strategies to more purposefully craft engaging and purposeful learning experiences.

Course alignment builds a strong cohesive framework; helps ensure that both you and your students have accurate expectations about what will be taught in your course; and that students are practicing and demonstrating the skills you want them to learn.
