Course Description

Note: This workshop will be limited to a minimum of five (5) registered participants and a maximum of thirty-five (35) registered participants. If a quorum of five hasn’t been established by 2 days prior to the session, we will cancel the workshop and notify registrants. Once the workshop reaches capacity, additional registrants will be automatically added to a waitlist.

For faculty/staff outside of LSU A&M: To register, please use your @lsu.edu credentials (i.e., the credentials you use when you log into myLSU), not your campus email address. 

Hosted by the LSU Online & Continuing Education Design & Development team, this workshop is designed to introduce the concept of generative AI, facilitate discussions about how it can be used effectively by faculty and students, help faculty navigate considerations and limitations regarding AI implementation, and recommend ways to design, revise, and adapt courses with AI. This workshop welcomes attendees regardless of pre-existing knowledge or experience using generative AI.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Define generative AI at a basic level
  2. Discuss considerations and limitations of generative AI usage
  3. Use generative AI tools to craft learning experiences and facilitate teaching and learning
  4. Have discussions with students about appropriate generative AI usage when participating in courses
