HR Analyst Monthly Meeting

The class will cover the basic responsibilities and expectations of the Workday’s HR Analyst role, the role’s relationship to the Office of HRM, and introduce resources available to ensure success in completing relevant business processes. After attending this class, you will have learned about the Personnel Management Dashboard, the new Hire business process, and the best practices in maintaining reports and ensuring accuracy when completing HCM actions. This course is recommended.

Invoice Processing Training

Finance | 1 class
This course is intended to give an overview of the University Direct Charge and Purchase Order invoice processing for administrative and departmental personnel. The course will also include detailed information such as, AS forms, creating receipts and Purchase Order obligation balances.

LaCarte Card Training

Finance | 1 class
LaCarte Purchasing Card “LaCarte” is a credit card issued to authorized employees for the purpose of making low dollar purchases. LaCarte is intended to simplify your buying process and improve your cycle time from ordering to payment. Typical examples of items that may qualify for this program include books, computer accessories, materials, and supplies.

Performance Management Training

HR | 1 class
In this instructor-led, lecture-style training, participants will learn about the staff performance evaluation process including the importance of performance evaluations and a step-by-step demonstration of the Workday process. Managers are encouraged to attend, however the training is open to everyone. Two date options are available, please note that both classes are the same.

Retirement Roadmap

Join Clay Jones, CHRO, and Sheantel Baker, Director of Benefits and Retirement for a presentation on the importance of participating in supplemental retirement here at LSU. As a state employer that does not participate in Social Security many of our LSU employees could find themselves returning to work due to inadequate retirement income. Sole Source Procurements

This course will focus defining sole source procurements and outlining the differences between sole source procurements and solicitations that include approved proprietary specifications.

Special Focus Program: Online Course Design & Development (12 weeks in duration)

LSU Online | 1 class
The Special Focus Program is an intensive 12-week program designed to guide faculty through the development, or re-development of an online course that is fully aligned, meets accessibility standards, and ensures a consistent and positive learning experience for students. Participants will have the opportunity to: 1) discuss and learn with peers, 2) receive guidance from a Learning Experience Designer (LXD), and 3) engage in hands-on course design and development experiences.

Special Meals Training

Finance | 1 class
This course is intended to give an overview of the University policies regarding special meals and is directed to administrative and departmental personnel. This course will include detailed information such as completing AS forms and creating Expense Reports. This class will be conducted via Zoom.

Workday Reporting & Financial Data Model (FDM) Training

Finance | 1 class
This course is intended to give an overview of the Financial Data Model (FDM), Internal and External Reporting as well as discussing financial transaction accuracy. This is a lecture style training that is open to new employees as well as existing employees needing a refresher class.
